Deep ruby-purple, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon has pretty tones of green bell pepper, dried herbs, thyme, lavender, and cedar over a core of red and black currant. The full-bodied palate is ultra juicy and packed with alluringly herbal fruit, and it boasts integrated oak, a soft, approachable frame, and a long, perfumed finish. Drink 2023 through 2028. —E.B.
What We Thought: This wine begins with a spicy black raspberry nose and moves to a ripe, full-bodied blackberry, black raspberry palate that adds complexity with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, and cedary spice box. Extremely well-balanced, it is supported by smoothly structured, well-integrated tannins that make it very approachable in its youth.
