A powerful, elegant, agile wine. Intense aromas of blackberry and currant fruit, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and tobacco, on the nose. At first decisive and silky on the palate, it presents an equally intense mouthfeel with sweet and soft tannins and a persistent finish with hints of dark berries and sweet spices. Excellent with flavorful meat roasts, such as lamb, and stews, seasoned cheeses, and pasta with game.
A fine and pretty complex delivery with refined balsamic fruit, minerals, savory cocoa powder,roasted olives and white pepper. Rich with fruit, but also pure and driven, showing lovely precision of chalky tannins and a linear, cohesive mid-palate. Powerful, juicy and long.
