A bright, succulent style, this exudes cherry, strawberry, earth, and tobacco aromas and flavors with a spicy character. Shows vibrant structure and balance with a lingering finish. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2023 through 2030. —B.S.
What We Thought: This beauty has a big black cherry nose and a smooth, medium-bodied palate filled with more ripe black cherry fruit along with notes of licorice and a little peppery spice, all supported by some surprisingly soft, well-integrated tannins.
