Exudes a deep, complex bouquet of ripe cherries, flowers, dark wild berries and peonies mingled with gentle woody notes. Medium to full-bodied, dense and concentrated, it has a fleshy core of fruit framed by structured tannins and a long, delicately peppery finish. This exceptional, highly mineral Gigondas is composed of 70% Grenache Noir, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. The Grenache and Mourvèdre were aged in foudres, while the Syrah was matured in used and large barrels.
There's a quiet elegance to this wine, where a subtle reductive veil gracefully lifts to reveal a vibrant core of pure red berries, savory umami, and a delicate thread of lavender and violet. It has a perfumed profile, elegant and ripe at the same time, with lots of aromas and flavors of sweet red fruits, sappy garrigue and sandalwood, as well as floral nuances that reveal themselves with time in the glass. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, both rich and elegant, it should benefit from a few years' bottle ageing and can be enjoyed for over 15 years.
