La Reine des Bois - "Queen of the Woods" - represents premium quality for Domaine de la Mordoree.
Gold with green hints. Aromas of white and yellow fruits - peach, apricot, pear, citrus fruits, verbena, acacia. The palate is round, fruity, complex and elegant, with a long finish.
The 2024 Lirac Blanc La Reine des Bois is more tensile than usual, wafting from the glass with aromas of spring blossoms, white lilac, almonds and honeysuckle. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's racy and saline, with an enveloping core of fruit and a long, chalky finish. Crafted from vines planted on galets roulés and calcareous soils, this is a blend of undisclosed proportions of Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette with a touch of Marsanne and Roussanne. -Y.C.
