Winemaker Kevin Judd has been making superb Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand for over 30 years. His experience and skill are evidenced in the Greywacke 2020 Sauvignon Blanc. I've been a fan for years, and this one is the best I've tasted.
Distinctive, succulent, and wonderfully complex, with honeysuckle, honey-preserved ginger, creamy lemon curd, ripe mango, and floral notes, plus stone fruit flavors on a rich, smooth, and mouthwateringly juicy frame. What We Thought: Crisp and bright with less intense grapefruit and more citrusy lime, lemon custard, and bright white peach notes than I usually expect from New Zealand, finishing with a bright bolt of refreshing acidity.
