Pinot Gris is not an easy variety to get right. But this bottling, from Kim and Erica Crawford, is perfectly pitched. It's bright and layered with fresh—and not overly ripe—fruit notes of apple and pear alongside fresh fennel, lime leaf, and jasmine. The palate is wonderfully textural, a balance of fleshy, tangy fruit and florals with lifted acidity. This would be a knockout with Thai or other Southeast Asian cuisines. And it could gain honeyed complexity with a few more years in the bottle. Drink now–2026. —C.P.
