What an aromatic roller-coaster ride. The first sniff of the glass yields bright red cherries and orange zest. Then, you get a burst of roasted red peppers, followed by a shot of espresso. What We Thought: Aromas of black cherry and black pepper lead to a smooth, medium-bodied palate of black and red cherry fruit accented with notes of vanilla and peppery spice, finishing with supple but lightly dusty tannins.
