This deep and potentially age-worthy blend from both valley and hillside sites is a baritone, showing deep bass notes of black currant, toasted oak, and espresso on a great structure of fine-grained tannins and a full body. Best 2026–2036. —J.G.
What We Thought: Robust and full-bodied with an ultra-smooth palate of ripe blackberry and black currant along with notes of coffee and dark chocolate and some serious but supple tannins that mean it's ready for dinner tonight, just give it a short decant.
