Elegant aromas of fresh and dried flowers meld with pine-forest notes, medicinal herbs and dried red berries. More assertive on the palate, with reconstituted cherries, savory herbs and spice wrapped by fine and firm tannins, and finishing with forest floor and roasted porcini notes. Drink now–2040.
A deep transparent ruby, the 2020 Bramaterra Mumbel benefits from a bit of air on immediate opening and is ripe with black raspberry liqueur, wet asphalt, and sweet licorice. Medium-bodied, it has good concentration and a ripe structure, with black cherry (though not heavy), turned soil, and tea leaf. Although it is attractive now, it will benefit from another 6 months to a year in bottle and should drink well 2024-2032.
