This estate, dating back at least to the 15th century, has made a rich and dense wine. Perfumed fruits with blackberry richness contrast with the firm, dry core. The wine will age well and be ready to drink from 2023. —R.V.
What We Thought: The nose displays aromas of dark fruit and cedary cigar box that lead to a smooth, medium-bodied palate filled with ripe blackberry fruit along with a note of licorice and dark chocolate, all supported by subtle but lightly drying tannins.
