The very young 2022 Semillon, made with grapes from Altamira, fermented mostly in stainless steel and 20% of the volume in new French oak barrels (going for more 300-liter barrels that they feel work well) to keep the floral and mineral expression of the grape in that particular place. It has 13.8% alcohol and very good freshness and integrated acidity, with notes of apples and citrus freshness. It was a typical year in Altamira, perhaps with a little less concentration but good acidity and freshness. —L.G.
