Ripe and plummy with a pleasant red licorice note on the nose. Medium-bodied with a silky, spicy fruit core that pushes and pushes through the long finish, thanks to some citrusy acidity. The fine tannins play a good supporting role. A delicious blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon. Drink now.
What We Thought: The Sangiovese and Cabernet combine on the nose with notes of spicy black cherry and cedary blackberry. The palate is robust and full-bodied with plenty of ripe black cherry fruit along with notes of plum and licorice and soft, well-integrated tannins.
