Firm tannins and intense, potent flavors make this wine a great candidate for further aging. Mint and cassis aromas lead to tightly held and deep flavors of black cherries, blueberries, and 90% cacao chocolate. A thick layer of fine-grained tannins infuses these with a grippy texture at this point but will give way to complexity and enjoyment with time. Best from 2028–2040. —J.G.
