The newly released NV Brut is showing nicely, bursting with aromas of pear, preserved citrus, honeycomb and praline. Medium-bodied, bright and pillowy, with tangy acids and a pinpoint mousse, it's a pretty, nicely balanced English Sparkling Wine. -WK
Another win for our classic Chapel Down Brut NV! This timeless wine is a classic example of quality English sparkling wine with aromas of red apple, citrus fruits and freshly baked bread together with hints of strawberry and quince on the palate and fine persistent bubbles.
What We Thought: We poured this expecting polite curiosity… and ended up with genuine shock. The acidity was razor-clean, the fruit crisp without being sharp, and the texture felt far more polished than anyone expected from an English sparkler. This wasn’t a novelty wine — it was legitimately good. The kind of bottle that makes you rethink what England is capable of. -Mat McGraw
