Saint-Gilles. South facing slopes of the Costières de Nîmes. The Costières de Nîmes are situated in the Rhône valley's most southern part, on the opposite bank of the Rhône with regards to Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Rolled Durance pebbles (the Durance river flowed through the valley well before the Rhône).

Alluring, with dark tea and singed sandalwood notes leading off for a core of lush cherry and boysenberry preserve flavors. Offers an anise hint on the finish, with the incense accent lingering. 200 cases made, 20 cases imported. — JM
