In the vineyard or in the cellar, our approach is part of an ideal of purity, authenticity and respect for the elements. The wine embodies rarity and refinement, balancing juicy red fruit with chalky mineral grip and fine, suede-like tannins, thanks to the Morgon granite soils and careful farming. It’s energetic, grounded, and beautifully composed — with structure and freshness existing together without heaviness.
Twice as much fruit for twice as much enjoyment! This Morgon is a success, with traditional aromas of cherry, violet, raspberry, and licorice. With an exceptional aging potential of 10 years, this cuvée can be enjoyed now or left to mature quietly!
The 2024 Morgon that I tasted from barrel came from the first and third pickings. There is plenty of vivacious white-tipped strawberry and Morello cherry on the nose. The palate is lively and very citrus-driven with red cherries, orange zest, noticeably "punchy" acidity and a chalky finish. —N.M.
