With chewy tannins and an abundance of black fruit, there’s a bit of an inviting nature about this wine that makes it easy to drink in its youth. It’s mostly a Bordeaux blend, the Cabernet Franc that brings the eucalyptus and pyrazines to bring a touch of interest to an otherwise easily quaffable wine. Drink 2026-2035. —J.G.
There's a charming freshness to the nose of this Cabernet that displays aromas of black cherries and herbal mélange. The palate displays ample tannin for aging, but there's plenty of lightness on display as well as flavors of rich plum jam, cocoa powder and graphite. —TC
Lots of mint and creme de cassis in the aromas and flavors of this full-bodied, velvety-textured wine. It’s structured, layered and generously tannic, offering blackcurrants, chocolate and cherries with hints of cedar and tobacco leaves. Drink now or hold. -JG
What We Thought: The nose opens with ripe blackberry and cedar, touched by a hint of vanilla and baking spice. The palate follows through with layers of blackberry, blueberry, and dark chocolate, rounded by supple tannins and just enough acidity to keep it fresh. It’s smooth, broad, and balanced, with that subtle spice and oak complexity that makes it perfect with steak… or honestly, just about anything hearty.. -Mat McGraw
