Dark black cherry in color, this wine has a nose of Chambord, dark chocolate, and violet. It is smooth at first sip, with notes of chocolate and coffee that fill the palate and are quickly joined by clove, black plum, and cassis flavors. —M.D.
What We Thought: Intensely colored and flavored, this Grand Reserva shows its aging. It is medium-bodied with a complex palate filled with ripe plum and blackberry fruit, oaky vanilla, baking spice, and licorice with mellow tannins that finish softly.
