Mark Gapinski Recommends This Wine:
Jules Taylor has created a really interesting Pinot Gris, and that’s no mean feat! Wonderful nose of yellow apple and white flowers. While completely dry, the fruitiness of this wine is very appealing. This would be great as a summer aperitif or an accompaniment to a cheese board.
This pink-rimmed PG opens with a fragrant bouquet of honeysuckle, lime leaf, pear, and red apple. Aromas morph into flavors on this dry but fruity wine. It’s an elegant example of the NZ Pinot Gris style, made for summer sipping on its own or could pair well with grilled asparagus and goat’s cheese. —C.P.
