This beauty has bright red and blue fruits as well as complex, spicy nuances of dried flowers, savory herbs, and graphite. It’s rich, medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s concentrated, has a smoking good mid-palate, and will drink best 2028-2043. —J.D.
What We Thought: This highly structured wine is inky dark and very full-bodied with big flavors of blackberry and black raspberry along with notes of espresso and bitter dark chocolate supported by firm but approachable tannins.
