A restrained wine with aromas of flowers, leather, bay leaves, raspberries, plums, and sour cherries. Medium- to full-bodied, it shows firm ripe tannins, lifted acidity, and a toasty, peppery aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
What We Thought: Ultra smooth, ultra ripe, dense, and robustly full-bodied, this wine is filled with ripe plum and blackberry fruit along with notes of dark chocolate and baking spice with no hint of the over-ripe flavors of prune and raisins that so often appear in Amarone.
