An approachable take on Delille's Chaleur Blanc with 100% Sauvignon, only 8% oak, but it spends plenty of time on lees, giving this wine a rich opulence and gorgeous texture. Honeyed and wild flower aromatics, with a dash of dried herbs. Poached pear flavours, nutmeg, and ripe lemon curd. —C.P.
The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc punches well above expectation, as a whiff of chalk dust and crushed rocks gives way to pineapple, mint leaf, and an enriching note of almond paste. This is juicy to the core, with a combination of zesty acidity and mineral tones adding tremendous complexity to its central citrus-laced orchard fruits. The 2023 lingers long yet maintains amazing freshness, as a gentle tension keeps the mouth watering and hints of lime and kiwi fade. I would drink this any day of the week. —E.G.
What We Thought: This beautiful wine displays the softer side of Sauvignon Blanc with a nicely rounded, almost creamy palate of ripe pear, white peach, lemon custard, and baking spice notes, all finishing with just enough acidity.
