Plenty of red fruit with cherry and orange-peel character on both the nose and palate. It’s medium-bodied with a round texture and ripe-berry character. Juicy and velvety textured. Just a hint of white pepper and spice at the end. Very drinkable now, but better in two or three years. Try after 2027.—J.S.
Here's What We Thought:
From the sun-drenched hills of Montalcino, this Brunello bursts with ripe cherry, dried rose petals, warm spice, and a hint of Tuscan earth. On the palate, it’s silky yet structured — juicy red berries layered with tobacco, dried herbs, and firm, elegant tannins that promise to age gracefully over time. Pair it with bistecca alla Fiorentina, pappardelle with mushroom ragù, or aged Pecorino for full Italian flair.
Fun Fact: “Brunello” is simply the local nickname for Sangiovese — and by law, it must age at least five years before release, which is basically Tuscany’s way of saying good things come to those who wait.🍷
