This achieved 14.7% alcohol, which also acts as a kind of preservative. It’s varietal, with violets, berries, and herbs, a juicy palate with fine-grained tannins, and a long, dry finish. It’s clean and precise and has a lively color, as adding sulfur also lowers the color, which was not the case here. Drink 2022-2026. —L.G.
