Such an elegant single vineyard Riesling! Aromas of peach, honeysuckle, apples, and pears are joined on the palate by lemon, lime, white pepper, and wet stone minerality. Enjoy now or cellar. Will pair well with whitefish in herb butter, and pork tenderloin.
This Riesling is grown in a loess-covered mix of gneiss and amphibolite. The intense fruit on the nose has some baked pear pervaded by zestiness and herbal overtones. The palate is generous, rounded, smooth, bedded and enveloped in soft yeast yet with that irrepressible Riesling zestiness. The long, zesty, brilliant, bone-dry finish still vibrates with yeast, fruit, and zest. Drink 2028-2055. —A.K.
