This is one of the most reliably delicious-while-affordable Pinot Noirs in California. Bright but concentrated aromas of strawberry cream, singed sage, and crushed rock kick off the nose. The palate is satisfyingly rich with baked cherry and pecan pie flavors yet tense in texture and zippy in acidity. —M.K.
What We Thought: This tastes a little more like Oregon than Central Coast California. It is a beautifully balanced, medium-bodied Pinot Noir that has a ripe black cherry palate accented with black pepper and allspice. This might be the perfect wine for anything from grilled salmon to roast pork.
