Tightly coiled, with a dense core of cassis, blackberry, and black cherry fruit held in place for now by a lengthy, robust graphite-edged structure. A tarry swath on the finish combines with violet and apple wood to provide nice range. Best from 2024 through 2036. 200 cases made. —J.M.
