Deep ruby in color, this Malbec opens with plum, ripe blackberry, and hints of dried fig, subtle vanilla and spice from its oak aging. Smooth tannins on the palate balance out the juicy dark fruit and cocoa flavors, leaving a long, easy, and satisfying finish. Pairs perfectly with grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, or a sharp aged Manchego. It also shines alongside mushroom risotto or a hearty vegetable stew. Enjoy!
The owner and winemaker is Rodrigo Manuel Romero. The label represents both grandparents of the winemaker. The rose on the label signifies the first new rose of each season—every year his grandfather Isaias would watch for the first rose to give to his wife, Juana. The grapes are sourced in Perdriel, Lujan de Cuyo and Upper river Mendoza region. Rocky, sandy soils located 950 meters above sea level, irrigated by flooding river waters coming from the Andes mountain range, make the perfect match for vine growing. Vibrantly red, with blue and purple glints, this wine has complex aromas of plum and ripe fruit, evoking dry fig. In the mouth, it is velvety, long, with a rich aftertaste, full of fine, sweet, ripe tannins. Excellent when paired with red meats, pasta with spicy sauces, matured cheeses.
