Highly perfumed aromas of cherry, black currant, candied rose, and coconut pick up smoke and spice notes with air. Appealingly sweet and fleshy on the palate, offering cherry preserve, cola, mocha, and candied licorice flavors that slowly deepen through the back half. Shows strong, spicy thrust on the long, gently tannic finish, which strongly repeats the cherry and mocha notes. Drink 2025-2036. —J.R.
