A juicy, creamy Chardonnay with flinty aromatics, candied ginger, quince, and toasty cedarwood. Plenty of flavour comes through on the medium-bodied palate, along with creamy caramel-laced pear, apple, and pineapple fruits. It is full-flavoured and packs a lot of character into a value-priced wine from Maisons Marques & Domaines and the Roederer winemaker team. Drink 2024-2028. —J.C.
What We Thought: This wine is bright and crisp but has had just enough oak influence to leave with a nicely rounded, almost creamy palate of ripe apple and pear flavors, supported by a good acidic backbone.
