Chevalier de Lascombes is beautifully textured and medium-bodied, offering bright cassis and darker, almost blue fruits alongside spicy floral nuances. It has an elegant mouthfeel and a great finish. Aged in oak barrels, this should evolve well 2025-2040.
What We Thought: An expressive floral black fruit nose leads to a very smooth, full-bodied palate filled with ultra-ripe blackberry and cassis fruit, along with notes of espresso, black tea, and dark chocolate, supported by firm, lightly dusty tannins.
