Expressive red and blue fruit aromas are complemented by suggestions of candied lavender and baking spices, and a hint of vanilla emerges with air. Shows very good depth as well as energy to the sweet, spice-laced raspberry, boysenberry, and mocha flavors. Supple tannins add shape to a long, smooth finish that echoes the blue fruit and vanilla notes. Drink 2024-2033. —J.R.
Flower, raspberry, cedar, cinnamon candy, black tea, and orange rind aromas lead to citrus-filled flavors that start out on the lighter side of medium-bodied. The frame fills in over time. Coffee notes linger on the finish. Give it time to open up or decant, and it fully delivers. —S.S.
