Sweet black cherry with cinnamon and a discreet note of cellar flavor. A nice Premier Cru, ready now with a short decant.
Lush and opulent, offering ripe cherry, plum, and sweet spice flavors. Firm tannins, some from the oak, line the finish, so give this time to integrate. Best from 2022 through 2032. —B.S.
What We Thought: Dark garnet color. Aromas of black cherry, cellar floor, and a hint of mint. On the palate, the sweet black cherry continues, along with some sandalwood and cinnamon. There is a subtle earthy note but it’s not pronounced. It's more of an interesting nuance or je ne sais quoi. With just a short 30-minute decant in the bottle, the acids are gentle, and the tannins are silky, making this ready for dinner tonight.
