John Recommends This Wine
There is something about legacy and consistency. The Drouhin Family has been making wine in Burgundy for 150 years, and since 1987 in Oregon where the winemaker's last name is still Drouhin.
Graceful and fragrant, with delicately layered cherry and raspberry flavors laced with rose petal, dusky spices, and a hint of fresh forest floor. Ends with refined tannins. Drink now through 2030. —T.F.
What We Thought: This Burgundian-styled Pinot Noir shows its French pedigree with a floral nose and a silky-smooth, medium-bodied palate of red cherry and raspberry that displays some light earthy, forest floor notes, finishing with supple but serious tannins that promise improvement in the cellar.
