Bright, deep ruby color, with spicy aromas reminiscent of red pepper, pepper, and slight sensations of licorice. In the mouth are spicy flavors, balanced tannins, fresh, vibrant acidity, and good volume. Persistent, complex finish with the authentic characteristics of a great Cabernet Franc.
What We Thought: A dramatic floral, violet-scented nose leads to a big, full-bodied, very ripe, blackberry palate that displays notes of black licorice, black pepper, and some oaky vanilla, finishing with supple tannins.
