This Barbaresco comes exclusively from grapes grown in the estate’s own vineyards in the municipality of Treiso, hand‑harvested in boxes. After a soft pressing and controlled maceration of about 25 days, the wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels and then in bottle. It shows a garnet red color with a broad, persistent fragrance featuring elegant notes of rose and red fruits, and on the palate offers a harmonious taste with great structure, full body and a long, persistent finish. Pair with meat, mushrooms and truffles, and mature cheeses.
This Barbaresco is a study in balance. It opens with aromas of dark cherries mixed with savory spices, wild herbs and fresh flowers. The palate is giving, with mixed wild red fruits combined with black tea, licorice root and a mineral finish. A classy wine that will only get better. Drink 2028–2040. —J.P.
Here's What We Thought:
Ruby-red in the glass, this classic Barbaresco is beautifully structured, with layers of rose, violet, and bright red cherry. The palate presents subtle spice, earthy notes, dried herbs, and a long refined finish. Pairs perfectly with braised lamb, roasted mushrooms, or aged Pecorino, and it’s got the kind of balance that makes it easy to enjoy now or celler for a few years.
