It’s immediate in appeal, with piercingly pure aromas of black currant and raspberry along with a dark chocolate accent. The palate explodes with textured, layered yet elegant fruit flavors, backed by lightly sandy tannins. The balance kicks it up a notch. It’s an exuberant, thoroughly delicious offering, with no shortage of freshness. Editors’ Choice. —S.S.
What We Thought: This has a nose of dark fruit and a robust, full-bodied blackberry palate that manages to be ripe without being jammy displaying light notes of vanilla and chocolate and finishing with tannins that let you know that this is a serious bottle of wine.
