Wonderful black-fruit flavors are matched by baking spices in this concentrated, balanced and velvet-textured wine. The tannins are very fine-grained and the palate overflows with blueberry, blackberry, and a hint of black pepper. —J.G.
What We Thought: A big brambly blackberry nose lays the groundwork for an even bigger, full-bodied palate that is thick with ripe, smooth blackberry and plum fruit. Supple tannins simply ooze through to a big finish.
