Aromas of smoky flint and lychee fruits jump out of the glass from this Sekt Brut from Robert Weil. It is produced using the traditional méthode champenoise, with primary fermentation done in stainless steel tanks and secondary fermentation in the bottle. The flavour of toasted almonds, spiced ripe apples and a toasty brioche mark the wine. Drink 2024-2030. —C.P.
