Esprit de Tablas has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and a nose of stewed tea leaves, orange peel, boysenberries, fragrant forest floor, and aniseed. It’s medium-bodied, soft, silky, and juicy, with perfumed fruits and a long finish. Drink 2020-2025. —E.B.
What We Thought: A big, spicy, brambly, dark fruit nose leads to a very ripe, silky-smooth, full-bodied palate of blackberry and black cherry, finishing with the supplest of tannins. Rhône wines don't get much better than this!
