It leads with white flowers and citrus blossom, candle wax, bacon fat, flint, and white pepper. In the mouth, the wine is complex, with a splay of fresh acidity. Tropical fruit is firmly on the white end of the spectrum, while the textural complexity from six months of maturation in French oak really reveals itself through the finish. Drink 2024-2033. —E.L.
What We Thought: This lovely wine has aromas of stone fruits, honeysuckle, and a little caramel with a ripe, viscous, almost full-bodied palate of honeyed grilled peach and apricot, a little vanilla, and a very creamy texture with just enough acidity to balance out the ripe fruit.
