This was produced with Cariñena, Garnacha, and Syrah from Gratallops that fermented separately with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel at low temperature to keep the fruit. The nose is showy and a bit spirity with notes of ripe berries in liqueur. It has some dusty tannins with some earthy notes and a dry finish. Drink 2024-2028. —L.G.
What We Thought: A robust blackberry nose leads to a robust, full-bodied palate of silky-smooth, ripe, brambly blackberry and black currant fruit. The palate is accented by complex notes of cinnamon, dark chocolate, and spice box, finishing with supple, well-integrated tannins.
