Aromas of ripe red and blue fruits, lavender, and baking spices, plus a hint of smokiness in the background. Appealingly sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry, cherry cola, and floral pastille flavors that firm up slowly on the back half. A long, smooth finish shows very good clarity, discreet tannins, and recurring spiciness. Drink 2022-2026. —J.R.
What We Thought: This smooth, medium-bodied wine has big aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry and black raspberry along with some peppery spice finishing with supple tannins and some food-friendly acidity.
