Supple and glossy, with a cascade of ripe fruit and crushed graphite. Delicious, revealing a lot of stuffing, with singed lavender echoing throughout the well-meshed frame. The long, stately close gains direction and focus from firming tannins. Drink now through 2030. —K.B.
Spice-accented raspberry and cherry aromas are complemented by musky garrigue and floral nuances. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy, well-concentrated red berry, cherry cola, and lavender flavors and suggestions of allspice and licorice.
