This wine is so yummy and approachable. Lots of smooth blueberry and blackberry fruit with no tannins to speak of. It is just delightful! Don't be afraid to put a little chill on it for a really nice deck wine.
The dark-fruited Nicolas is 100% Grenache and made from vines averaging 65 years of age. Black cherries, with hints of strawberries, garrigue, and crushed stone, appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is concentrated, framed by dusty tannins and bright acids. Drink 2021-2026. —J.C.
