This has a very ripe, intense but clear and elegant nose. Piquant and salty on the palate, it is a rich and mouth-filling Auslese with remarkable precision and serious tannin grip. It’s far too young to be enjoyed today, and the acidity tastes almost racy, although it’s analytically not that high. Very elegant and full of potential. Drink 2033-2060. —S.R.
